Watercolour Artist from Cambridge, UK, Elspeth lives in Stockholm with her Swedish husband. Trained in Design at University of the Arts London (2012 - 2014) BA Hons. As a Flower painter she utilises her work to celebrate the bee and raise awareness for their need for preservation and protection.
Elspeth aims to capture the essence of her subject without creating a photo realistic impression, but instead creating a work of art. She was taught to master the art of watercolour still life by her mother, Christie’s Contemporary Artist, Helen Eltis.
Painting only from life, Still Life, Elspeth Cornish sits for days, capturing a flower view or arrangement one paint stroke at a time.
Celebrated for capturing nature, in 2020 her art has been seen in BRITISH VOGUE, HOUSE & GARDEN, WORLD OF INTERIORS and TATLER. In 2019 she collaborated with the British Embassy in Stockholm and created a collection of Flower paintings with pollinators to celebrate and highlight the importance of bees.
