MARION THOMSON

As a landscape artist, Marion believes it is fundamental to experience your subject first hand. She sketches, paints and take photographs in situ, trying to commit the experience to memory.

Back in her studio she translates these sources onto canvas. The works may take days or weeks before she can lay them aside and be happy with them.

She has been commissioned through galleries as well as by individuals and has paintings in private and corporate collections. Marion is a member of the Society of Scottish Artists and has exhibited far and wide in Britain and abroad.
